Sanctuary Memorials

Tribute Giving through The Sanctuary at Lakota Farms is a compassionate and healing way you can remember and honor a loved one who has touched your life. By making a tribute gift in memory, you provide a lifesaving second chance for horses and a lasting legacy for those who loved them. Your kindness offers love and hope to these horses in need. Tribute gifts go straight to helping the horses regain their health physically, mentally, and emotionally. We appreciate your desire to help those in need. May you find comfort in this life-giving act of kindness.

Alysha Girard

Alysha Satsuki Girard gained her angel wings on May 7, 2022. Alysha was born on May 20, 1995, in Altamonte Springs, FL. She has lived in Tallahassee for the past 9 years. Alysha was known by those that loved her and knew her best as a kind, caring, generous and loving soul. Alysha was such a sweetheart; all of her family and friends adored her spirit. Some of her passions are a love for Horses, Dogs, Jeeping, Sunsets, Plants, and being with her friends. Alysha always had a way to make others feel warm, welcome, and loved. Alysha’s departure from this world leaves an enormous hole in the heart of the those she touched in her life. Alysha was always entertaining everyone with her charismatic stories and fun-loving personality, she was the life of the party. Alysha graduated from Winter Springs High School in 2013 and continued to follow her big sister Natasha to Tallahassee where she blossomed into a confident beautiful, loving strong woman that God intended her to be. Alysha is survived by her loving parents, Dax and Kayoko Girard, her best friend and sister Natasha Girard, her paternal grandmother Marion Stewart, maternal grandmother Kinue Sake, aunts, uncles and cousins in both NY and Japan.
